VENZA, a leading provider of data protection and regulatory compliance tools for the hospitality industry, today announced significant updates to its Product Roadmap as part of Vision ’24.

During the first quarter, VENZA added an entirely new program and created many enhancements to its products and tools to help clients roll out and deliver products. Collectively, these changes made VENZA’s offerings better than ever before and continue to deliver on the company’s promise of better defense through better visibility.

The Hill
VENZA released The Hill™, an introductory program designed for independent properties. Ideal for boutique hotels, bed and breakfasts, hostels, inns, and camping/campgrounds, The Hill makes world-class security awareness and data protection products available without requiring a world-class budget. The program includes VENZA Phishing™, VENZA Learning™ Content Library, Data Protection Coaching, Data Protection Portal Access, and Data Breach Coverage.

CPRA Resources
The landmark California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) will come into effect in mid-2023 and have broad implications for consumer data privacy rights within the state of California and beyond. VENZA added a series of instructional resources related to CPRA, including a standalone course covering the law, a shareable infographic highlighting key policy changes, and an updated Legislation Brief addressing the law’s requirements, scope, and enforcement provisions.

Policy Template Library
VENZA maintains a Policy Template Library with sample organizational policies that cover key areas related to data protection and compliance. We’ve dramatically expanded its scope and now offer over 20 templates spanning a wide range of topics, including Information Security Policies by SAQ type and specific data protection and privacy topics.

VENZA Echo
VENZA launched a new weekly article series, the VENZA Echo. The Echo shares VENZA’s thought leadership on the latest industry news, cybersecurity threats and changes in the data protection landscape. It also includes a monthly email digest that brings key information directly to subscribers. Monthly themes during the quarter included Critical Security Threats for 2023 and The Philosophy of Cybersecurity. Interested parties can sign up here for free.

SAQ Tools
VENZA created new resources to help clients complete Self-Assessment Questionnaires (SAQ) for PCI DSS compliance. Brand new forms like the General Manager Questionnaire (GMQ) and IT Questionnaire (ITQ) streamline information gathering and intake from properties. VENZA also launched weekly live SAQ demos led by experts from the Security Team to guide General Managers through the process.

Webinars
VENZA continued its Hospitality Webinar Series in Q1 using a revamped quarterly format in 2023. Focusing on Critical Security Threats, its first webinar discussed trends in ransomware, tax fraud, and invoice fraud, as well as the risks and benefits posed by ChatGPT. It also provided updates on company news and product developments.
