Payment Security Super Session at HITEC will Feature Technology and Finance Leaders from the Hotel and Club Sectors Plus a Fraud Specialist from the Banking Industry
The HITEC 2024 educational panel discussion, “Payment Security in a Changing Global Landscape – Club and Hotel Operations,” has been announced as a Super Session to be held Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at the Charlotte Convention Center.
This session will highlight the steps three recognizable hospitality organizations are taking in this fraudulent current landscape to safeguard payments, bank accounts, and general banking processes. Additionally, a fraud specialist from the banking industry will discuss the challenges, risks, and security of payments made by check or electronic payment, direct debit, wire, and systems sending the payment data in from the ERP v. hand keying it in the bank system (including the possibility of human error).
Panelists will include Michael Schubach, CHTP, CHAE, Chief Information Officer for Millennium Technology Group/Rosen Hotels & Resorts; John Mascia, Director of Operations – Hotels at Hard Rock International; Daniel Conti, Partner, Elevate CFO & Technology for Clubs at Jupiter Island Club; and Stacy Beard, Client Protection Executive at Bank of America. Gayle Edwards, current president of HFTP’s Mid-Florida Chapter, and Vice President Managing Director of PAS (Professional Accounting Solutions) will serve as moderator.
