Cloudbeds, one of the hospitality industry’s fastest-growing technology provider, announced several strategic investments, including the expansion of its executive team and the rollout of an aggressive product development roadmap.

Leveraging funds from its recent Series C and D raises of $82M and $150M, respectively, the company is driving technology transformation for lodging customers worldwide as the industry prepares for increased bookings and occupancy levels in the coming months.

“Cloudbeds customers have seen triple-digit growth in new reservations and demand during Q1 2022 alone. The increase in booking acceleration indicates that the industry recovery is well underway,” said Richard Castle, COO and Co-founder of Cloudbeds. “The hospitality industry is in an extraordinary position, and we have invested heavily in our team to continue to introduce new product offerings that help our customers navigate rapidly shifting market conditions.”

In addition to hiring more than 300 employees over the past year, which represents a 70% growth in its global workforce, Cloudbeds expanded its executive team with three technology industry veterans. These include Ivo Salmre (Microsoft, Tableau/Salesforce), who has been appointed VP of Product; Janet Jaiswal (PayPal, Infosys, IBM) tapped as VP of Global Marketing; and Deborah Hamill (Zendesk, US Bank) appointed VP of People. The three new VPs join an all-star executive suite that includes Rafael Blanes, who was recently promoted to SVP of Sales & Growth after serving as VP of Sales for more than eight years. Blanes, named one of the “Top 25 Software Sales Executives of 2022” by The Software Report, has grown the Cloudbeds sales team into one of the world’s largest SMB-focused hospitality tech sales organizations.

“At Cloudbeds, our motto is ‘More Reservations, Happier Guests,’” said Adam Harris, CEO and Co-founder of Cloudbeds. “In 2022, we are focused on both themes in a big way with two major upcoming product releases that will drive more demand and increase bookings. This will enable stronger and better communication between hoteliers and guests to improve the overall guest experience. With staff shortages continuing to heavily impact the hotel industry worldwide, the product solutions we will launch are focused on helping property owners automate their business and drive better profitability while minimizing the staff labor required. It’s a win-win.”

MEDIA ADVISORY: Cloudbeds VP of Product Ivo Salmre will share further details about the company’s growth initiatives and product roadmap at the 2022 AAHOA Conference in Baltimore, during a press event at 3 p.m. EDT in Booth # 425 on Wednesday, April 13.
