AAHOA (Asian American Hotel Owners Association) proudly announces a historic milestone: the AAHOA Political Action Committee (PAC) raised a record-breaking $1 million for the first time ever in one single year in 2024, putting the AAHOA PAC at a total of $1.5 million for the 2023-2024 PAC Cycle. This achievement underscores the commitment of AAHOA Members in strengthening the organization's advocacy efforts and ensuring the voices of hotel owners are heard at all levels of government.

"Reaching the $1 million milestone is a remarkable achievement, and I want to personally thank our AAHOA Members for their steadfast commitment, generous contributions, and active participation in the AAHOA PAC," said AAHOA Chairman and 2024-25 PAC Fundraising Chair Miraj S. Patel. "The funds raised will enable AAHOA to further its mission of advocating for hotel owners and supporting policies that foster growth and protect owner investments. This is a testament to the dedication and engagement of our members, who understand the importance of investing in advocacy to shape the future of hospitality. By 'Building Tomorrow Today,' we're positioning AAHOA to effectively advocate for the issues that matter most to our members—now and in the years to come."

The AAHOA PAC supports critical legislative and regulatory initiatives affecting hotel owners nationwide. With the increased funding, AAHOA can amplify its efforts to influence policy decisions that promote a favorable business environment, including advocating for key issues such as access to capital, fair labor practices, tax reform, and advancing our industry's national, state, and local priorities.

"The record-breaking support of our PAC is a testament to the power of AAHOA's collective voice. As an organization, we are not just advocating for hotel owners; we are standing up for the future of the hospitality industry as a whole," said AAHOA President & CEO Laura Lee Blake. "Together, we will continue to make a meaningful impact for future generations of hotel owners."

The AAHOA PAC is fueled by voluntary contributions from its members who recognize the critical need for a unified voice in the halls of government. This milestone ensures AAHOA's continued success and influence in the policy arena.

AAHOA is the largest hotel owners association in the world, with Member-owned properties representing a significant part of the U.S. economy. AAHOA's 20,000 members own 60% of the hotels in the United States and are responsible for 1.7% of the nation’s GDP. More than one million employees work at AAHOA member-owned hotels, earning $47 billion annually, and member-owned hotels support 4.2 million U.S. jobs across all sectors of the hospitality industry. AAHOA's mission is to advance and protect the business interests of hotel owners through advocacy, industry leadership, professional development, member benefits, and community engagement.
